33N Ventures

Background
33N Ventures is a capital firm specialising in B2B cybersecurity and infrastructure software technologies. With over 20 successful investments and a team with decades of experience, 33N connects key markets across North America, Europe, and Israel, driving innovation and securing digital infrastructure worldwide. The firm needed a complete website redesign to modernize its online presence and communicate its expertise and distinctive approach.
The Challenge
The existing website for 33N Ventures was static, difficult to update, and lacked responsiveness. The redesign aimed to modernise the UI/UX, clearly communicate 33N’s differentiation in the venture capital landscape, and develop a user-friendly CMS for easy content management, including the client portfolio. Additionally, the project focused on implementing GDPR-compliant cookie management and creating a scalable, adaptable platform aligned with 33N’s vision. A thorough competitor analysis and stakeholder interviews ensured the redesign met the client’s goals.
The Project
The project spanned over 3 months, with weekly design reviews and stand-up meetings with the client to ensure continuous alignment. The work was divided into smaller, manageable tasks, allowing for an iterative approach that ensured timely feedback and efficient progress. his collaborative process allowed for constant refinement of the design to meet the client's goals and deliver a user-friendly, scalable website.
My contribution
My contribution focused on the areas outlined below. I aimed to create an intuitive, responsive design while ensuring the platform was scalable and aligned with the client’s needs.
1. Research
As part of my contribution to the CRN and GP2 Hubs, I collaborated with the team to design new features that expanded the platform's functionality, addressing user needs and aligning with ASAP's mission of fostering collaboration and innovation.
Stakeholder Interviews:
I conducted interviews with key stakeholders to understand the pain points and goals for the redesign. These insights were critical in shaping the design direction and addressing the needs of the client.
Competitor Analysis:
A thorough analysis of competitors was done to identify common trends, design elements, and positioning strategies in the venture capital and cybersecurity sectors. This helped ensure the redesign was competitive and aligned with industry standards.
Website Audit:
I conducted an audit of the existing website to identify key issues such as static content, lack of responsiveness, and poor content structure. This audit was essential to understanding what needed to be fixed.

2. Ideation
Low & High Fidelity Wireframes:
The design process began with the creation of low-fidelity wireframes to outline the website’s structure, user flow, and content layout. These wireframes provided a clear framework for the overall design and allowed for early-stage feedback from the client. Once approved, the design moved into high-fidelity wireframes (or mockups), incorporating visual elements, branding, and refined interactions. This iterative approach ensured that the design was both functional and visually aligned with the client’s objectives

3. Webflow Development
Numerous features across the two Hubs were refined through continuous iterations, with a focus on enhancing two key areas in the CRN Hub, driven by insights from user testing sessions with diverse user groups.
Webflow Implementation:
After the wireframes were approved, I began developing the website in Webflow, ensuring it was responsive and aligned with the client’s vision. This stage involved translating the design into a fully functional site.
Multifilter System and Custom Components
To enhance functionality, I implemented a multifilter system for users to easily navigate through the client portfolio. Additionally, I created custom components that required custom code to meet the specific design needs, ensuring a seamless user experience.
CMS Implementation
Leveraging Webflow’s integrated CMS, the website allows the client to easily update and manage content, such as the client portfolio, without needing technical expertise. This streamlined content management process improved efficiency and reduced dependency on developers.
GDPR-Compliant Cookie Management:
Implemented a GDPR-compliant cookie management system, providing clear consent options for users and ensuring full compliance with data protection regulations.
Deliverables
The new website features a user interface (UI) with a modern, sleek, and professional look that better represents 33N’s expertise and leadership in the cybersecurity sector. The design enhances the user experience with a clear, intuitive layout, refined typography, and a cohesive visual identity, aligning the website with 33N’s brand and industry standards.

Reflections on the Process: Key Takeaways from This Project
This project emphasized the importance of user-centered design, informed by stakeholder interviews and competitor analysis. Effective and ongoing communication with the client was crucial for aligning the design with their vision and goals. The use of Webflow’s CMS streamlined content management, while the UI design reinforced the brand identity and improved the user experience. Additionally, integrating GDPR compliance ensured the website met legal standards without compromising usability. Overall, the project demonstrated how a combination of clear communication, thoughtful design, and efficient tools leads to a successful outcome.
